Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show
At the convention center look for craftsmen displaying their handiwork during the annual Easter show.
Easter Sunrise at Ober Gatlinburg
Meets up at the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway at 5:30 and ride (for free) up to view the sun from Mt. Harrison at the Ski Resort.
April 2 - April 3
Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament
17th annual tourney. Try your luck at catching from thousands of stocked trout over 20 miles of streams. $10,000 in cash and prizes. Registration is usually early April. See Rocky Top Outfitters for more info.
Wine, Dine and Art Crawl
It's a private tour to some of the art galleries and restaurants along the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community. Involves wine sampling, so must be 21 or older.

Hands on Gatlinburg
Lets you be an artist for a day! Get your hands dirty while learning how to handle clay, basket weaving, painting, etc. Weave a wooden stool, make a wire-wrapped copper pendant, create with chalk, discover spice blending, knit a soap sack, or make a broom, among other things.
Smoky Mountain Wine Fest
A weekend sampling wine from throughout the state. Sanctioned by the Tennessee Wineries Association.
April 17 - April 24
Learn what it means to be green and how its practiced. Music, games, crafts, food, etc. And, the Earth Day 5K.
April 19 - April 23
Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage
Annual 5-day event in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Entails natural history walks, wildflower, fauna, photo tours, classes, and seminars. Register online.
April 21 - April 23
Earth Day Festival
Music, face-painting, crafts, activities, etc. Learn about being sustainable.
Earth Day 5K
It's a nighttime walk or run through Gatlinburg. $20- $30 admission. Race begins and ends at the Nantahala Outdoor Center.

Mountain Man Memorial March
2016 marks the 9th annual 26.2-mile march initially began to honor 1LT Frank B. Walkup, IV. He was a Tennessee graduate killed in action in Iraq in 2007. UT cadets wanted to honor him and created this event.
Gatlinburg Beans and Cornbread Festival
Come appreciate the food of Southern Appalachia at this flatulence festival. A beans and cornbread cook-off, blue-grass music, and antique vehicles are the highlights.

Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales
A street performance event in Gatlinburg. Entails storytellers, artisans, and musical performers.
