Summer in Gatlinburg is typically the busiest season. And, it's much more than our July 4th Fireworks that brings 'em out. Events such as the ongoing Tunes and Tales street performances, First Independence Day Parade in the Nation, River Raft Regatta, and a Songwriters Festival.
After viewing the fire in the higher ups, the surrounding mountains ignite in reds, oranges, and yellows a few weeks later here in G-Burg. Fall is in the air and some events you should look out for are the Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair, Chili Cook-off, Veterans Day Celebration, and later in the year, the Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade.
